Josh Merrow

Josh Merrow talks about his time working for the California Prostitutes Education Program (CALPEP) in the early 1990s where he provided health services and sex education to sex workers in the Bay Area. There, he met HIV+ coworkers and sex workers, witnessed HIV testing, and talked with sex workers on the different types of STDs and how best to protect themselves. Describing it as an "eye-opening experience," he talks about confronting his unknown biases while being exposed to different cultures and identities.
