Georgia Tucker

Georgia Tucker currently is employed in communication and administrative positions, but she spent her time during the 1980s and 1990s in various jobs working and volunteering for public broadcasting, public television, AIDS organizations, and universal-healthcare lobby groups. She recounts how her upbringing led her understand the discrimination many gay men faced during the AIDS epidemic and her need to aid those suffering. As someone who remembers many names and key events of that decade, Tucker provides insight into the political and social climates whilst recounting her first-hand experience of caring for AIDS patients.
